Fun, Technical, Tasty!
Eging is a Japanese fishing method similar to spinning using lures designed to attract cephalopods such as cuttlefish, squid etc.
When the first coldwave hits the capital, generally speaking around mid November, cuttlefish move closer to the coast on shallow water with sand bottom.
The ""bite" might be very subtle and hard to detect but the "fight" it's different from any other fish and it can be very fun.
We do support catch&release but when it is sustainable, like in this case, we love to keep a few for the table. If you type on google (just copy and paste) nero di seppia or ricette con seppia you shall fall into hundreds of mouth-watering recipes!
